Is the tent waterproof? ......Modern tents are given a measurement called the H/h hydrostatic Head , for family holiday camping we recommend that customers look for a rating of at least 3000mm - The Sala 8 offers a H/H of 4000mm

How strong are the poles?...... Cheap fibreglass pole can have a tendancy to splinter under certain weather conditions we would recommend 'treated or covered' fibreglass poles - The Sala 8 offers Tuf-flex poles specially wrapped poles that are unbreakable under normal conditions.

What else should you look for when choosing a tent? bear in mind the family holiday and British weather you need to have enough room to be able to enjoy the tent on those rainy days. On those barmy sunny days modern tents can become quite warm inside so look for a tent with plenty of ventilation to create airflow. The Sala offers plenty of windows and openings/doorways for ventilation - some doorways have mesh to allow for ventilation without little visitors.......

Do campsites charge extra for bigger tents?..... Yes they can do it very much depends on the type of site , we always recommend that this is a consideration especially in current times - the Sala 8 has a pitch size of 620cm x 340cm most standard pitches are 7 x 7m.
