The key to a simple - eco-friendly holiday is quite straight forward, having camped ourselves for many years we pass these words of wisdom on with all our best intentions. We often get asked for a beginners guide - we have compiled the following, the advice has been passed on to many customers who have then gone on to have enjoyable camping holidays.

The first piece of advice we offer is don't go mad - resist the need to rush out and buy everything in one go - part of the fun is compiling your camping kit from various holidays. Every holiday will have a different requirement that in turn will generate a new memory.

Our advice is quite simple for a first camping trip there are four elements:-

• Your Tent
• Somewhere to sleep
• Somewhere to boil a kettle
• A form of power/lighting

The finer tuning will come in time - very often you have bedding , crockery etc to take from home.
